Submission Guidelines

  • Any commercial vineyard or winery may submit a proposal, including muscadine, cider and mead.

  • The NCWC board will assist individuals in modifying their experiments to be scientifically valid if need be before approval is granted.

  • The NCWC will cover all laboratory analysis to complete your experiment.

  • Each proposal may not exceed $1,500 of laboratory expenses. IF a budget exceeds the maximum cap, the board may consider approval based on funding availability and perceived value to the industry.

  • Submit your proposals online or via email

  • Approvals will be granted based on:

    • Scientifically valid research focus that can be achieved at a practical commercial level

  • If your proposal is approved, the board will reach out to notify you and will stay in touch throughout your trial until completion.

  • Upon completion of your trial, a preliminary final write up is required by filling out the trial submission form. We will go through all of the data and put together a cohesive write up that will be published publicly on the NCWA website. By submitting a proposal, you are agreeing that all information will be published publicly to benefit the industry as a whole.
